During the pandemic, we’ve seen how important technology is for elderly people, especially those in nursing homes, to connecting with their loved ones. Video chats are their main form of interaction – talking to their children and watching the grandchildren and even great-grandchildren grow up! We’ve also seen friends and family, like us, accumulating more and more devices, with cell phones and ipads they no longer use sitting idle. Tech-Angels is an IRS-approved, 501(c)(3), youth-based organization. We provide new or lightly used tablets to elderly people in need. We also provide technology tutoring to elderly individuals so they are better able to use their devices. We have served over 500 elderly individuals in nursing homes across the United States.
